Re: HRT and workplace drug testing

Monday, June 30th, 2008

Hello again yea one more one.

I work in a industry with heavy machinery, regular random drug testing for close custody.
Certain things are not allowed to be taken by employee's as a general guide.

No illegal drugs natch and medications that can show being of the kind which a substance in the test (Medication that gives a false positive for say cocaine for case in point or people attached cocaine would use that medication to hide it)

This worries me about HRT,(MtF)  Anyone know whether this is ok in a drug testing environment?. Estrogen is obviously a natural substance and
since almost half the employment is female I cant see that as being a problem. (Read the full post about ‘Re: HRT and workplace drug testing’…)

Sunday, June 29th, 2008

There are two main forms of this autoimmune disease - Systemic lupus erythematosus and Discoid lupus erythematosus.

Systematic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is the most common and debilitating mould which can cause inflammation of the joints, tendons, connective tissue and greater organs such as the kidneys and heart. However, the most obvious symptom is a butterfly-shaped rash that occurs across the cheeks and nose.

Causes of Lupus

It’session as the world goes believed that lupus is caused by alterations in the immune system. The body’s immune system normally fights alien bacteria and viruses; however, with lupus, the immune system may fail to recognize “self” substances and will make antibodies that attack the body’s own tissue.
